Andy Knight

Hysterical

The brief

We were approached by Andy Knight, London-based set designer, who asked us to help them create an edgy art exhibition in Mayfair’s Phillips Gallery action house.

Set designer and street artist Gary Card was the creator of this colourful collaboration that brought together several street artists, including Yayoi Kusama, Carrol Dunham, Ugo Rondinone, and Kenny Scharf.

Hysterical

The work

The gallery was packed full of artwork for sale but also included some special scene-setting pieces that brought the showcase to life.

This insanely colourful activation left not one inch of the 180 square metres of gallery floorspace untouched, with bright graphics applied to the walls, floors, and windows.

The feedback

Hysterical Project Manager at Andy Knight said “We chose KGK Genix to work with us on this project as their quality of finish and attention to detail is just the best in the business. This project posed some real challenges as there were just so many different graphic and print elements to deal with. KGK Genix were not only excellent at achieving what we asked for but also so great at advising us on what would work best in the environment. I also appreciated their flexibility, Projects like this always throw idea changes into the mix. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. True professionals.”
