The brief

The Frieze Art Fair is one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs, focussing only on contemporary art and living artists.

We were asked by Andy Knight to help them bring a unique optical illusion to life. From supplied images, the design featured a number of bold black and white lines that wrapped the floor, walls, and protruding cubes.

The work

The challenge was to ensure each of the 350 unique prints lined up as they moved across the different surfaces of the installation. We achieved this by coding each individual artwork and pre-wrapping the protruding cubes offsite, this enabled slight flexibility to fit each element in place perfectly.
