Harvey Nichols Christmas Window Display

The brief

At KGK Genix, we are thrilled to showcase our collaborative project with Matt Wingfield Studio and Harvey Nichols, bringing the magic of Christmas to life through innovative vinyl and reboard graphics. We had the privilege of working on this project, which involved various rounds of testing, producing, and installing these Christmas window displays at Harvey Nichols; located in Knightsbridge, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Bristol.

Our task was to create a festive atmosphere that drew the attention of the High Street shoppers. The collaboration resulted in the transformation of Harvey Nichols’ Knightsbridge flagship windows into a creative fairground experience.

Christmas Window Display Highlights

Our team crafted vinyl and reboard graphics, each featuring hundreds of strategically placed holes; These allowed for the placement of LED lights behind both the vinyl and reboard, creating a mesmerising display of light and colour.

Sustainability

At the Knightsbridge store, we took a sustainable approach by incorporating a number of Christmas windows with reboard elements. This not only contributed to environmental responsibility but also added a unique touch to the festive display. The project served as a temporary Christmas solution, enhancing the visual appeal of Harvey Nichols’ storefronts during the holiday season.

Harvey Nichols Christmas Window Display

KGK Genix has truly outdone itself with a festive fairground-themed Christmas window display for 2023. The Knightsbridge flagship store showcases a blend of holographic colours, animated lighting, and refractive surfaces, all set against the backdrop of a traditional funfair scene.

Janet Wardley, the Head of Visual Display at Harvey Nichols, expressed her excitement about this year’s Christmas windows. She stated, “This year our Christmas windows convey the energy and excitement of a contemporary funfair that has arrived in Knightsbridge.” Describing the creative process, she highlighted the use of programmed LED lights, colourful graphic panels, and visual effects flooding the windows with changing patterns and colours.

Wardley emphasized the resulting scene as bright, uplifting, and energetic, perfectly complementing the busy street outside the store. The aim is to captivate passers-by, enticing them to stop, admire the beautiful displays, and step inside the store to discover more.

At KGK Genix, we are proud to have played a significant role in bringing the magic of Christmas to Harvey Nichols and its customers. The collaborative effort with Matt Wingfield Studio has resulted in a visually stunning and environmentally conscious display, contributing to the festive cheer on high streets across multiple cities.
