Sustainable print solutions for a greener future

  • We are a certified ‘Carbon Neutral Plus’ company for scopes 1&2

Over the past two decades the effects of climate change has accelerated, with considerable evidence proving significant exacerbation from human activity.

We’re doing our bit, by making a commitment to sustainability within our industry and achieving carbon neutral status for scopes 1 & 2 – that’s the emissions generated by our business.

We are also monitoring and then offsetting carbon emissions captured in scope 3 too – these are the emissions generated because of the activities of our business but occur from sources not owned or controlled by it.

  • Reducing our CO2

Being carbon neutral essentially means offsetting our carbon emissions to the extent that – through activities, donations and/or behavioural changes, we take as much carbon out of the environment as we put into it.

Carbon neutral plus takes that one step further, by ensuring that we’re actually contributing to an overall reduction in CO2. We do this by partnering with our chosen company ‘Ecologi’ who guide us in supporting various projects all over the world but in addition by planting trees in the UK – giving us the ‘plus’ status.

  • Net Zero Print Provider

    Our pledge to ‘Net Zero’

We have pledged to conform to Net Zero standards by 2050 and are ahead of schedule to reduce our emissions by half by 2030 – and that’s not by offsetting.

We have already reduced our emissions in scopes 1 and 2 by undertaking various sustainable initiatives including introducing electric company vehicles, changing all lighting in all premises to LED and by investing in new machinery which uses 75% less electric than the machinery it replaced.

  • How we’re offsetting our carbon

We’re committed to being carbon neutral in all production facilities and offices and are working with environmental specialist organisation, Net Zero International governed by Future Net Zero Standard to regularly appraise our emissions.

We offset our carbon footprint using Ecologi, funding climate projects and planting trees around the globe.

A fully grown tree can absorb 1 tonne of CO2 each year

  • Schools upcycling scheme

We’ve partnered with local high schools to supply waste off-cut materials that students can repurpose and upcycle in creative, design and technology classes.

Materials included in the initiative are fabrics, foam boards, cardboard, papers, and vinyls. Students are able to repurpose these materials, and design and make other products, as part of their school classes and projects.

  • Members of ‘Herts Go Green and Grow’

We’re one of fourteen Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce members to come together to share our experience of acting on Net Zero by uniting under the group… #HertsGoGreenandGrow

Our aim is to help other businesses that recognise they should be incorporating Net Zero action in their organisations but are not sure where to start or what might be possible.

  • The Green Organisation

Silver Members of The Green Organisation

We’ve been awarded silver membership of The Green Organisation, one of the world’s leading environmental groups. Membership is restricted to companies, councils and communities that can demonstrate the effective measures they have introduced for environmental benefit.

They said… “KGK Genix practice what they preach about environmental concerns, and they are actively adopting measures that will continue to improve their environmental performance for generations to come”

  • “The future of humanity and indeed all life on earth, now depends on us.”

  • The ECO Range

Our sustainable and recyclable alternatives to traditionally used display materials.

The demand for sustainable and recyclable materials has grown exponentially over the last few years and until recently, alternative materials were limited in choice, have underperformed and were generally expensive. Now, this is a very different story. New eco-friendly alternatives are coming to market more frequently as we continue to test them alongside our suppliers and strive for a more sustainable future.

    Be responsible… Rethink. Reuse. Recycle.

  • Marine fabrics made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

    Part of the ECO Range.

Even if you live hundreds of miles from the coast, the plastic you throw away could make its way into our oceans. Plastic decomposes very slowly, breaking down into tiny pieces called micro-plastics that is incredibly damaging to sea life.

Marine fabric can be used for multiple different display purposes, such as frontlit graphics, backlit illuminated graphics, interior wallpapers and even outdoor branding like flags.
