This exhibition stand for SHE SEES, at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, was designed to celebrate women’s involvement in the Maritime Industry. It explores and highlights the wide variety of roles undertaken and the invaluable contribution women have made to the maritime industry as a whole. We were asked to create a semi-permanent exhibition with three main elements in mind: visually appealing, durable and sustainable.
We had comprehensive involvement in this project, providing project management, design collaboration, production and installation, ensuring that the final output matched the original vision. We worked closely with other key project members, including the design and photography team from Sama Creatives, to ensure all exhibition elements came together seamlessly.

We conducted several site visits to Boathouse 4 to gain a thorough understanding of the space and environment, which guided our material selections and installation methods. Throughout the process, we provided material samples and updates to ensure the client was satisfied and the result aligned with their vision. Regular meetings with the MXL production team were also key in coordinating the production and installation of the exhibition.
