The brief

Looking to create some permanent display fixtures for their UK retail stores, AO.com asked us to help them come up with some unique props and plinths to help them merchandise their product range. The brief was to create a series of shapes based heavily on the AO.com logo and brand colours.

Although predominantly an online retailer, AO.com has a concession, shop-in-shop style presence in a number of Tesco Extra superstores in the UK, these displays would be used to display products in the store windows to attract shoppers inside.

The work

As the desired display components were based on the AO.com brand, it was important that colours were matched as closely as possible, so our design and production teams set to work by creating a material sample board showing materials and colours for the client to approve before production.

Once approved, we designed and created a range of MDF displays that were each coated with hard-wearing paint for longevity. We then finished them with small rubber feet to allow for security cables to be hidden beneath the display. Curved pieces were also fixed with clear acrylic bases to keep them stable and stop them from rolling.
